Year 1 have been continuing their topic of the seasons, by looking at changes that have been happening during the autumn months. They started by collecting natural objects and observing how the trees and plants have changed around the school grounds.
Once we had collected a range of items, the children returned to the classroom to show off their science skills. They used a variety of microscopes and magnifying glasses to look at the patterns and colours on the items collected. All of the children worked very carefully with the equipment and enjoyed seeing the items up-close.
Thank you to our partners, ‘The Royal Microscopical Society’, for loaning the school their outstanding equipment for the term.
